Last night RA and I sat on the front porch watching the evening rain come through Mid-Town. While I will not miss the humid Mobile heat, I will greatly miss the Mobile rains. So soothing.
This first official week of summer has been a fun one with a trip to GA and the beginnings of our summer schedule for RF. We noticed that he was being a little more mischievous and temperamental and the teacher in me believes it stems from the fact that he is no longer in school with a routine.
So, this week started a more structured day. Nothing too rigid, but enough to keep him engaged. So far, so good.
Our Current Daily Plan:

Simple entertainment...
He's getting so big...
Hanging out in his swing...
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head."
RF had two cookies sitting on the coffee table. Then there was only one cookie. I wonder where the other one went? COOKIE MONSTER!
A rainy afternoon = reading a book (never mind that it's a Christmas book) in the playroom.
All smiles...
There once was a bowl of pretzels on the coffee table. See the hammer? Can you imagine what RF did with the hammer to all of the pretzels? Yea, that was fun.
Some afternoon porch time...
I could eat that face up...
Hanging out on the swing…the same swing that his daddy proposed to me on…the same swing that I sat on during the maternity photo session while I was pregnant with him…memories, memories.
A few photos from our recent trip to Georgia…
Sneaking a little snooze on the way to Nana's...
Kissing himself in the mirror...
Initiating RF into the Waffle House club...
And Mr. E, too...
Eating his hash browns with his fingers…yea, I don't even know...
Two Hawk men enjoying ole' Waffle House...
RF decided to count the number of coffee cups in the 'treasure map' (i.e. the menu)...
Mr. Big Boy held out without a nap until we were about 30 minutes from Nana's house...
RA and I had some errands to run in Covington and Madison, so we stopped in for a little bite to eat...
And I didn't even feel bad about piling my plate this high...
Enjoying Nana's sandbox...
The dog days of summer...
RF found little baby bird eggs in one of Nana's ferns...
Mr. Ellis standing at the door calling for his Nana who was outside working in the yard...
Slip N' Slide fun...
Sticking that tongue out...
Oh yea, mama. This is fun!
Trying to catch the water...
He couldn't get enough…crawled up and down it for almost an hour...
Another ouchie for this dare-devil little boy. He face-planted into the sidewalk...
Calling his cousin Mason on speakerphone...
The Hawk men took down an old tree in the backyard…boys and their toys...
RF helping his daddy take the limbs of the tree to the street…
Spring has sprung in Georgia! Everywhere we looked flowers were in full bloom. A few pretty shots from our trip to round out today's post. :-)
