Day Trip - Natural Bridge, Rickwood Caverns State Park, and Cheaha State Park

The last weekend in March we headed out for a day trip to northwest Alabama to enjoy the gorgeous Spring weather in the great outdoors.

We headed out early in order to get to our first destination, Natural Bridge, mid-morning.

We're here!

Pretty stinkin' cool...

Alabama the Beautiful!

Ready to explore!

My outdoor loving boys!

Natural Bridge!

Pretty darn cool...

Underneath the bridge looking out...

Hiking around the area...

My little explorers...

Taking a break...

Checking to see if Winnie the Pooh is home..

They love the outdoors...

Just wandering...

Taking a look at the minnows...

Having a picnic lunch after hiking...

Tuckered out after our morning hike...

A dirt road in backwoods AL as we head towards Rickwood Caverns State Park...

A little seesaw time before we explore the caverns...

Having fun!

Happy as can be!

Doing a little rock hopping...

Stalactites deep inside the caverns...

He was so excited to explore the caverns...

So amazingly pretty...

Wandering the cave...

Exploring in awe!

Getting a better view from daddy's arms!

CORAL deep in the caverns...

All smiles!

This one is pretty smiley, too!

Could he be any happier?

Or him? RF kept saying, "This is the best day ever!"

Beautiful cavern walls...

Looking out into the caverns from one of the pathways...

Dairy Queen ice cream makes the day even better!

We made it to Cheaha - hiking to Pulpit Rock!

Views from Pulpit Rock!

Such a gorgeous view!

Enjoying the view with Ellis!

A late dinner at Cracker Barrel before we made the drive back home.
