2018 - Week Twenty-Five Photos

The boys and I were in the Birmingham area this past week as I worked with another group of middle school teachers. Meme joined us for the week and the boys had a blast hanging out with her every day.

Monday, June 18 - On the road again...

Loaded up and ready to head back to Alabama. I'm really thankful that they are good travelers.

Tuesday, June 19 - Swim like a fish...

Our hotel this week had an indoor pool and hot-tub, so the boys were able to take a nice dip in the water multiple times a day!

Wednesday, June 20 - Cars and Legos...

RF is an early riser and I told him he couldn't get out of the bed because his brother was still asleep. So, he grabbed his toy bag and spent the morning playing with his Legos and his cars in bed.

Thursday, June 21 - Like a family...

The social studies training team at Gardendale HS. These folks have become like a second family for me. They are absolutely amazing.

Friday, June 22 - Happy Birthday!

This handsome man celebrated a birthday on Friday. We love you, RA!

Saturday, June 23 - Happy Anniversary!

Celebrating 11 years of marriage with mini red velvet cupcakes...

Sunday, June 24 - Laundry...

This is my view for most of the afternoon as I try to get the laundry situation under control. Unpacking after a trip is the worst...

The boys and I have three whole weeks together before my next week of travel. We have absolutely no plans for these next three weeks and I am so excited to spend time just hanging out with my boys.

Have a great week, friends!

2018 - Week Twenty-Four Photos

This week was super laid back for us and it was incredible! We ran errands, had a few appointments, went to the gym, and ate a lot of popsicles in the afternoon heat.

Monday, June 11 - Daring Greatly

I started listening to this podcast and found myself listening to it twice as I wanted to soak in every word. It's phenomenal!

Tuesday, June 12 - Yoga

Since I'm home with the kiddos this summer, I definitely deserve an hour long yoga class three times a week, right?

Wednesday, June 13 - Organized

I feel so productive when I clean out and organize drawers, cabinets, and closets in my house.

Thursday, June 14 - Story Time

Wandering downtown to story time at a local children's store...

Friday, June 15 - HOT

Yep, you're reading that correctly - it was 126 degrees in the car when we got in it one afternoon. YUCK!

Saturday, June 16 - Leadership

A leader...be one!

Sunday, June 17 - Father's Day

A daddy and his little buddies. I hope they know how lucky they are to be his kids. Happy Father's Day, RA!

The boys and I are out of town this upcoming week as I work with another set of middle school teachers in Alabama. Another hotel stay + time spent with Meme = a whole lot of fun for us! Have a great week, my friends!

2018 - Week Twenty-Three Photos

What a week, folks.

I had a training this past week in Alabama and the boys went with me. They hung at the hotel during the day with a family friend and had an absolute blast, but we were all excited to get home and see RA and the dogs. This upcoming week is going to be much more relaxed and laid back as the boys and I are planning on enjoying time together at home!

Monday, June 4 - Snoozing

I love that they sleep in the same bed...

Tuesday, June 5 - Never Stop Learning/Teaching

Our plan for Day Two training in Ozark, AL...

Wednesday, June 6 - Dirt Piles

One of my colleagues on our training team invited us to a cookout at her home. While the adults ate some delicious red beans and rice, homemade cornbread, and cheesecake, these two kiddos had a blast climbing and playing in dirt piles! They were covered from head to toe when it was time to leave (and were SUPER mad at me that we had to go, too).

Thursday, June 7 - Decompress

RA met me at our back door Thursday night when we got home and told me to go take a relaxing bath. He had my favorite flowers, my favorite candle, and one of my favorite lotions ready for me in our bathroom! It was SO NICE to take a long bath and relax after the week I had wrangling two active little boys + a full training week. Thank you, RA!

Friday, June 8 - Household Chores

The boys and I spent Friday being lazy around the house. We were all three exhausted after a week away. One of my household tasks, other than unpacking the car and our bags as well as a pile of laundry, was to water all of my plants that were looking quite drab.

Saturday, June 9 - Talented

Such a silly boy!

Sunday, June 10 -'Met Ya' Day

Thirteen years ago today RA and I met at a mutual friend's wedding. I was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman. We were paired to walk down the aisle together. Little did we know what was beginning that warm June night in southern Alabama...a forever partnership. :-)

2018 - Week Twenty-Two Photos

Recap of the past week via photos. Enjoy!

Monday, May 28 - Memorial Day

We lounged ALL. DAY. LONG. It was perfect.

Tuesday, May 29 - Alone Time

After a leisurely lunch with some teacher friends to celebrate our last day of work for the 17-18 school year, I was able to enjoy a trip to Target ALL. BY. MY. SELF.

Wednesday, May 30 - Rules of the Road

RF has learned what the lines in the middle of the road mean (in regards to when you can and cannot pass other cars), so on a recent drive he made sure to tell me each time the lines changed.

Thursday, May 31 - Yard Work

Teaching the boys how to help with yard work...helping me clean up the gardenia bushes of dead blooms...

Friday, June 1 - Happy Birthday!

I had to travel on my birthday this year, so I celebrated with a yummy Chick-Fil-A lunch!

Saturday, June 2 - Baby Toby

It's a BABY SHOWER! My youngest sister will welcome her firstborn in July, so we spent Saturday celebrating her and sweet boy Toby!

Sunday, June 3 - Travelling Amigos

A family emergency necessitated a change in plans and as such, the boys are with me this week at a training in AL. They did really well on the drive down and hung out at the school while I set up for the training week, so when we arrived at the hotel we unpacked the car and headed straight to the pool for some fun!

Thanks for checking in on us! We hope the end of the school year and beginning of summer are going well for you and yours. :-)
