After breakfast, we got on the road to begin the trek back down south, beginning with another $6 in tolls. UGH. We grabbed a quick lunch on the road on our way to Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Connecticut.

Longest. Day. Ever.
Our day began by driving a short distance from our hotel to the Village of Sleepy Hollow! It was rainy, so our photos are a little blurry.

We then began our drive to NC. We drove through NY, NJ, and PA before deciding to stop for lunch.
We almost made it the whole trip before we stopped here...

We crossed into Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia. Mr. Hawk had another detour for us via Harrisonburg, VA to pick up yet another piece of furniture (table) that had to fit into the car Tetris style...he managed it though. Pretty impressive.
We were stuffed into the car like sardines, but at least the view along the Blue Ridge Parkway was nice. It was an incredibly long ride to our B&B for the night in Dunn, NC. We made a pit stop for gas and grabbed a Coca Cola and a Hershey bar to make it through the last 100 miles of the day.
We finally made it!
