A Weekend of Celebrating the FIVE Year Old...

As things are beginning to slow down in the Hawk house from the craziness of October (seriously, we spent all weekend in our pajamas in front of a fire watching movies and snuggling), I am finally getting around to writing about RF's fifth birthday celebrations.

Birthday mantle --- he LOVES Star Wars...

Our t-shirts for the birthday party...

RF's Millennium Falcon birthday cake. I am in no way a baker, but its what he wanted, so I made it. RF woke up really early the morning of his birthday party, so he helped me decorate it with the gold and blue sugar balls.

Celebrating the birthday boy!

Brothers!

We decided to do an earlier party than we usually do, so brunchy items were on the menu. Pigs in the blanket, breakfast casserole, cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffins, doughnuts, and orange juice.

Food, presents, and drinks...

Mama and her baby...

Family photo!

He LOVED his cake and giggled the whole time we sang 'Happy Birthday' to him...

It was 10:30 in the morning, but Ellis decided he wanted a piece of cake and chowed down on it...

RF's gift from his daddy and I - his own real tool set. If RA is working on a project (which he's always doing), RF grabs his tools to assist.

His new AT-AT Walker toy...

Playing with his new Paw Patrol toy with his brother...

Hanging out talking to and watching a granddaddy long legs...

Playing with his new pumpkin flashlight...

Planking? Stretching? Climbing? Probably all of the above...

RF packed his brother up in one of the boxes from his party...

Snuggling with his Nana after the birthday party...

Gus and Daisy headed to Perry after the birthday party to spend the week at Nana's house...

Babu's co-pilot...

The boys and I attended a Farm Day event in a neighboring town later in the weekend...

Baby cows...

So soft and sweet...

Goats...

Horses...

And TRACTORS!

Having fun in the tractor's cab...

Driving a vintage tractor...

Walking underneath a HUGE tractor...

Such cute brothers...

Hanging outside waiting for daddy to get home to take RF to his birthday dinner at his favorite restaurant...

Last photo with the 4 year old...

CRACKER BARREL!

This boy loves him some chicken and dumplings...

Checker-time!

IT'S HIS BIRTHDAY! The big F-I-V-E!

Traditional cinnamon rolls for breakfast...

My how he has grown...

Cupcakes, Cheetos, and juice for his birthday snack at school...Ellis got to join his brother for the celebration, too!

Birthday boy!

The fall festival at his school was the evening of his birthday, so we stayed in town until the event started. Spent time at the park...

Massive tree that the boys turned in to...

A fort! This photo is of them INSIDE the tree...

And climbing the tree!

Birthday dinner at Chick-Fil-A!

And ICE CREAM!

My little Storm Troopers!

Mama forgot to bring candy buckets. Thankfully, there is a Dollar General close by...

Time for some Fall Festival FUN!

Each classroom was set up as a game and the boys had a BLAST! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the staff at their school. They are amazing!

SCORE!

Going fishing...

Ellis's turn...

Nice throw, E!

He kept wanting to get closer to make sure he was able to ring the hats...

On one leg and he made it!

A little mini-golf fun!

Straight down the middle - nice shot RF!

Mommy and E got matching tattoos...

Beautiful night on the drive home after the Fall Festival!

The next weekend we loaded up and spent three days in our favorite NC mountain town. A full blog post about our fun time coming later this week. We're spending this week getting ready for our trip to AL for Thanksgiving! The whole family is spending Thanksgiving at the BEACH!
