Easter Weekend 2017

It's been a few weeks since Easter, but I thought I'd take a moment and share some of our day.

The Easter bunny got RF a new stuffed animal (Max from Secret Life of Pets), a wooden egg to paint, some rabbit glasses, and a few eggs filled with candy.

The Easter bunny got Ellis a new stuffed animal (Max from Secret Life of Pets), a wooden egg to paint, some rabbit glasses, and a few eggs filled with candy.

They are obviously not twins, but Ellis wants everything RF has and RF wants everything Ellis has, so the Easter bunny decided to head off any argument before it even started. :-)

He wouldn't put the glasses on until I did...

Then he decided to see what he looked like as a bunny...

Ellis was still snoozing (of course, it was 6:45AM on a weekend), so RF played while I made breakfast for everyone.

He decided to paint his Easter egg while Max watched...

After breakfast, everyone got ready for church.

Swoon...I LOVE a little boy in a bow-tie...

Family photo - Easter 2017...

Ellis (AKA Mr. Grumpy) was not in the mood for pictures...

But, his Babu can ALWAYS make him smile...

So then he decided to give me a quick smile, too...

We decided to attend one of the local church services on the town square. It was a great service and RA and I only had to walk around with Ellis a few times. RF did really well hanging out with Nana and Babu during the service. After the service, we headed over to RA's boss's house for Easter lunch. It was delicious and we had a great time.

Hunting some eggs before lunch...

Checking out the loot in each egg as he found it...

TIRED from hunting eggs...

Some of the eggs had $1 bills in them - RF found two! He was so excited.

After eggs, the boys had the opportunity to swim for a little while. After a meltdown by RF - he wanted to swim but for some reason was scared to get in the water, both boys had a blast swimming for an hour or so even though the water was COLD. I swam with them while RA and Mrs. Margie enjoyed some time relaxing in the sun before we packed up the car and headed home for the afternoon.

Playing with his paper eggs that he dyed at Nana's house earlier in the week...
