Last Week in AL + First Week in GA

Can we say, hectic?

I'm pretty sure that's the best way to somewhat postively describe our last weeks in AL and first weeks in GA.

This transition is a major one for us and it is one with which my type-A personality is having some frustrations. But, the good news is that everything will settle down here soon. Work begins for me next week and we will get the boys in school which I believe will allow us to have more of a routine. We are also in the process of renting an apartment, as the Mobile house hasn't sold yet, so getting into our own space will help us get a good routine going, too.

Anywho, photos tell the story the best, right? Well, here are a bunch from the last few weeks of our lives.

We have another climber. He got up there, but couldn't get down...

Daddy teaching RF how to puddle-jump after a nice morning rain in Mobile...

RF's turn --- he LOVED it!

Brothers...

RF asked for some cheese. I told him to get himself a little bowl from the cabinet --- this is the bowl he chose - the biggest one down there...

A little art on a rainy day in Mobile...

RF working right next to mommy...

One of his masterpieces...

And another one...

Wrestling with daddy...one of their favorite things to do...

"You need these boxes to pack, mama? Nah - I think I'll play with them instead."

In our five years in Mobile, we had never visited Langan Park. So, one morning we took the boys out there...

Airplane...

This is what Ellis did the entire time...

RA commented on how he was going to miss the shade of the big ole' oak trees in Mobile...

He's a climber. His new favorite position in which to watch TV...

Packed in and ready to go to GA...

Don't let this smile fool you. He cried and screamed pretty much the entire way...this kid does not like the carseat...AT ALL...thank goodness there are no more 5+ hour car-rides until the holidays - maybe he will have outgrown his hatred by then...

This kid, on the other hand, is as content as can be as long as he has a few toys, his DVD player and a few snacks.

Their FAVORITE part about Nana and Babu's yard...

Summertime wouldn't be summertime without ice cream in a cone...

Helping Nana sew a cover for her patio furniture...

Our 4th of July festiveness --- Ellis with a red shirt on and RF in white and blue shorts...

This youngin' loves all modes of transportation. He will lay down and roll the vehicle back and forth just watching the wheels move and make up all sorts of stories about where the vehicle is, what it is doing, and who is involved in the process.

Brothers rough-housing...

Playing with a new toy from Target in the car on the way home...

Nana bought a 'big pool' for RF... he absolutely loves it and will yell "cannonball!" as he jumps up and splashes...

Just got out of the pool, having a little slide-time with Nana...

RF talking to Babu and Ellis observing...

RF slide time...

Smiling at his brother who was running around the yard...

9 days away from turning the big O-N-E...
